Starting early, Planning ahead.
hi, im 19 this year ,looking to get started on investing too ,wondering if you have some information on basics of investing? such as the various platforms i can invest in. thanks ! feel free to email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi yihaoFor a start, you could start learning about investing by reading some self help book. Two good self help book that I used was "The intelligent investor" and "Fundamentals of Technical Analysis". Learn how to analyse a company account statements, value a company using fundamental analysis and time your entry using technical analysis.Personally, I find that the combination of Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis works best for me. But you gotta try it out to find out the best strategy for yourself. As for trading platforms, I am currently using phillip poems platform under their young investor plan. OCBC, I heard also have a young investor programme. I understand there are other platforms like SCB, Citibank with lower commission rates but no young investor programme so if you wanna use them you got to get an adult.Hope it helps :)ming
Lots of great information on this blog
Thanks for the compliment!ming
